Shawn's career began over 30 years ago, honing his craft under industry leading Teachers; running his first innovative Salon at the Richmond Hill Country Club in the early 2000's. He quickly followed this up with his second, Universe Hair Studio, in 2006.
With his decision to relocate to Niagara on the Lake in 2014, he was fortunate to be hired at a local Salon, gaining cherished friendships, before deciding to launch his latest local venture, Hypnotyc Hair Lounge.
Shawn proudly brings 21 years of specialized Goldwell Academy Training, and cutting edge Styling Techniques to his valued guests

Christy brings 25 years of experience in the Hair and Cosmetology Industry to Hypnotyc Hair Lounge.
She has been trained extensively and holds degrees in Theology, Psychology, Cosmetology, Hair Design and Developmental Social Work from Briercrest College and Seminary, Niagara Conservatory of Music, Fleming College, Cappa, Toni & Guy, Goldwell, Vidal Sassoon, Martin Parsons, Aveda Academy, and MAC.
Christy brings our Lounge together and runs the Salon with ease as a Professional. Your visit will run smoothly from start to finish with the Luxe service that is offered at Hypnotyc Hair Lounge

Nicholas started his path in the Hair Industry at an early age. He stays current with the trends, educates himself continually to provide updated technique to his creations,
a true perfectionist, and prides himself in creating your hair goal.
Nicholas enjoys every part of his craft from colouring your hair, cutting the perfect cut, or simply styling. He will exceed your expectations and make you feel beautiful.

Cathy, with her knowledge of styling tradition and exceptional techniques, has gained a reputation for her remarkable styling/cutting and expertise colouring. Inspiration for her versatile styling comes from the art, fashion, and music industries, all lending itself to Cathy's attention to detail and experienced eye.
Cathy started her career in the downtown core of Toronto over 30 years ago and has trained with leading companies in the industry. She has honed her talents creating a diverse range of looks that accentuate personal beauty of all of her clients.
In addition to being a Master Stylist, Colour, Extension, and Keratin Specialist, she is also exceptional at High Fashion/Wedding Styles.
Cathy is certified and educated to the following colour product lines; Clairol, Loreal, Redken, Matrix, John Paul Mitchell, and Goldwell Systems.
Cathy's wide range of education includes Toni and Guy Academy, British School of Hair Design, KMS IQ cutting method, American Crew, Rusk cutting, FI hair structure formations, and Arrojo razor cutting.

Janice joins the Hypnotyc Team with 20 years of experience in the Hair Industry, which includes styling within the Niagara Region.
She has been highly educated through Toni & Guy, AVEDA, Martin Parsons Updo's, and Paul Mitchell.
Janice is very talented and creative with her craft. She has a passion of making people look good and feel their best.

Kendra has been in the Hair Industry for 18 years. She began her training in Hamilton followed by further education in Toronto.
After moving back to Niagara in 2008, she worked in the Salon Industry until 2017.
At that time, Kendra was a Mom of three and decided to take some time to focus on her Family. Baby number 4 arrived soon after, and Kendra knew that this was the perfect time to stay home with her babies for a few years.
We are glad that Kendra has decided to return, and since 2019 has been a great asset to our Team.
Kendra believes in the beauty of aromatherapy, and holistic nutrition. She has a heart of gold and in her "spare time" she is involved in serving with Down Syndrome Niagara.
Kendra has been extensively trained with AVEDA precision, and the luxe beauty of our Goldwell colours.
